Where does energy go when you "die"? Perhaps it does not go anywhere at all, because there is nowhere else for it to go. Where does the radio station go when you turn the dial? The station itself does not leave; yet the frequency changes and you can no longer "hear" it. Just because you can't see or hear something doesn't mean it isn't there. Can you see the minute zygote inside a womb? Perhaps death is not an ending after all, but instead more a change of channel, a shift of worlds.
All people at one time or another have felt, known, heard, or dreamed the truth arising from the unknown. Forces guiding us from beyond ordinary senses of perception. Telepathy, precognitive dreams, intuition—many traditions throughout history have regarded these as natural capacities of the human being.
On earth we are all biochemical and bioelectrical organisms. With out charge we have no life, without the pulse, the body dies. There must be some fine difference between the soul and the energy because where the energy "dies" the soul is eternal. No one doubts the rhythms of the brain and heart when known and used in medicine to regulate and keep life going.
Do you recognize the electrical and magnetic nature of your very existence?
Across cultures, we have mapped the subtle body in many different ways. Some we have all heard of are the Chakras in India, Meridians in Chinese medicine, Nadis in Ayurveda, and Sen lines in Thai medicine. Though the languages differ, all lineages point toward the understanding that human beings are more than flesh and bone.
The bigger version of you that cannot squeeze into a human body or mind sits above it all. Prana, Ether, Spirit, Holy Ghost, God, Soul, Qi, Lom etc. This is the awareness that witnesses the thoughts of all minds and observes the unfolding of all life. This awareness does not cling. It does not fear. It simply witnesses. It knows all because it is all. Nothings is outside of this awareness. All knowing, all being, all seeing, all presence.
We do not have a Soul; we are a Soul.
We do not merely live Life; we ARE the life principle expressing itself.
We are not in the Universe—we ARE the Universe.
Does God create the blade of grass?? Or, IS God the blade of grass itself?
I believe it is both at once. The most Divine of paradoxes.
Maybe this is what is meant when spiritual traditions say that "separation is an illusion". You think you are disconnected from "God", when the truth is you are made of the same material as the Divine pure consciousness that holds everything within it's creation. You do not need any doctrine, dogma, middleman, ritual, or anointment to connect with the divine. Your birth was your right to ascend. The temple you worship at are the mental patterns you live by. To connect, all that is required is silence.
Sit quietly.
Listen within.
Everything there is to know, to learn, or to remember already exists within the great field of consciousness that gives rise to all things. You are made of this energy that can neither be created nor destroyed. Through ancient times and recent history (before cell phones anyone?) human beings sat in silence for hours, days, and nights, accompanied by only their thoughts and the sounds of nature. Many received insights from realms invisible to the eyes and ears.
Some call it intuition.
Some call it clairvoyance.
Some call it the soul remembering.
I call it spirit having a human experience. When a human denies the soul their life is unbalanced. And yet to completely denounce the human's nature and needs is also unbalanced. We inhabit bodies that require food, sleep, shelter, touch, play, relationship, work, and joy. Over-identification with the material can lead to endless acquisition. We may subconsciously condition ourselves to chase the carrot forever. Believing if we gain more money, more status, more possessions, then we will be satisfied.
On the the other end of the spectrum, complete rejection of the material world brings its own attachments. The body is denied. The world is treated as illusion. Human life becomes something to escape rather than to embody.
Consider the mythic lotus flower. The lotus teaches us another way. Its roots are buried in mud (material), while its flower opens toward the sky (spirit). Without the mud, no roots. Without the light, no blossom.
Not the left path.
Not the right path.
But the middle path.
We are not here to transcend humanity, but to embody it consciously.
To eat and remember that food is sacred.
To grieve and remember that the soul is eternal.
To love fully while knowing that nothing can ever be possessed.
To participate in the world without becoming imprisoned by it is the goal.
So here is some mental conditioning for you, aka your meditation homework.
1. We need to slow the brain down. One way to drop from Beta into Alpha brain wave state is to count backwards. Your brainwaves are oscillations and you are commonly used to operating in Beta brain wave state. Beta is daily awake life, problem solving, thinking and actively moving through the world. We want to train ourselves to slow down into Alpha. Alpha is how it feels just before you fall asleep, or right when you wake up but are not fully up yet, or relaxed staring at the ocean with your mind quiet and calm. Alpha is often called the bridge between conscious and subconscious awareness. Training yourself to achieve Alpha will act as a gateway state to attaining even deeper levels of mind. There are slower brain waves states when you get into "meditation" and sleep. All together in order you have Gamma, Beta, Alpha, Theta, and Delta. Delta is deep sleep, while Gamma is peak mental performance.
Practice to Alpha (relaxed and aware):
Sit or lie down
Close eyes
Slowly count down:
100 → 1 (beginners)
then 50 → 1
eventually 10 → 1
As you count down to 1:
Allow yourself to relax progressively
Let your mind slow down, let your body melt.
Entering alpha brainwave state (deep relaxation + heightened receptivity) is said to be the level where the subconscious is programmable.
2. The Mental Screen (Your Inner Projection Field)
Practice:
Once in alpha brain wave state (relaxed and calm), imagine a screen about 6 feet in front of you
Slightly above eye level
Like a movie screen
Then:
Project images onto it (NOT inside your head, out in front of you)
Goal: Create separation between observer and image
This is important, it’s like:
altar (external focus)
imagination (internal creation)
3. Creative Visualization (Programming Reality)
Practice: On your mental screen:
See what you want as already done
Make it:
vivid
emotional
detailed
Then:
Add a feeling of gratitude or completion
Goal: Install a finished reality into the subconscious.
Always visualize the END RESULT , not the process.
4. The Three Scenes Technique (Problem Solving)
Practice:On your screen, play 3 scenes like a movie:
The problem clearly
The solution unfolding
The final resolved state
Goal: Train the mind to move from problem → solution automatically
This is basically: Rewiring your brain to expect resolution.
Sit quietly.
Breathe slowly.
Listen deeply.
You may discover that what you have been seeking has been within you all along.
With LOVE,
Aja
